Privacy Policy
Effective date: 10 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GetOrForget ("we", "us") handles information in connection with the website getorforget.com (the "Site") and our publishing of our own content to social platforms via their official APIs. By using the Site you agree to this policy.
Who we are
GetOrForget is an independent publisher of product reviews and buying guides. We are the data controller for the Site. You can reach us at contact@getorforget.com.
Information we collect
- Information you give us — for example, if you email us, we receive your email address and message.
- Automatic technical data — like most websites, our servers and providers may log IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and to understand general traffic. We do not use this to identify you personally.
- Cookies — the Site itself uses only what is needed to function. Third parties we link to (such as Amazon) may set their own cookies when you click through; those are governed by their privacy policies, not ours.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run user accounts or collect sensitive data on the Site.
Affiliate links
GetOrForget participates in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates Program. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our verdicts. See each retailer's own privacy policy for how they handle your data after you click through.
Our use of the Pinterest API
We use the Pinterest API to publish our own original review graphics as Pins to our own Pinterest boards, linking back to the corresponding review on this Site. We connect to Pinterest using OAuth 2.0 and store only the access and refresh tokens needed to publish on our behalf; these are encrypted at rest. We do not collect, request, or store the Pinterest login credentials of any person, and we do not access other users' private Pinterest data. Our use of information received from the Pinterest API follows the Pinterest Privacy Policy and Developer Guidelines. You can revoke our access at any time from your Pinterest account settings.
Third-party services
We rely on reputable third parties to operate, such as our web host and the social and affiliate platforms named above. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own policies. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the privacy practices of external sites we link to.
Data retention & security
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email contact@getorforget.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date above.
